Being in a sorority is more than just fun parties and cool t-shirts. It's about finding your soulmates; people who understand you even when you don't always understand yourself. It's about finding yourself and setting a positive example in hopes of one day breaking the stereotype that surrounds sororities and much of Greek Life. It is tradition and wearing your letters proudly, not for your own self-dignity, but in honor of the morals and values set forth by the women who made this whole experience possible. If you had the chance to be a part of something this incredible, why not take it?
I sincerely hope you consider going Greek here at Columbus State University. The opportunities I have been presented through Delta Zeta have given me the chance to display my potential as a leader and grow throughout one of the most stressful, yet rewarding, times of my life. I was hesitant to join a sorority when I went through recruitment, but at CSU, our Greek Life is not what you see in the movies. Our Greek Life gives you a sense of belonging, importance, and acceptance. While going through recruitment may be nerve-racking, it is well worth it. The feeling of running home to 50+ new friends and soon-to-be sisters is one that cannot be imitated, duplicated, or replaced.
Our founders based Delta Zeta's on values of sisterly love, friendship, scholarship, philanthropy and service, and the promotion of excellent character. We look forward to exemplifying these pillars of our sorority to you during recruitment weekend. I came to college looking for a life-changing experience, and I found that within Delta Zeta. My sisters and I can not wait to meet you, and we wish you the best of luck through recruitment!
